A 1 Direction board? :/

So I was looking around TB when I saw a board named Chit Chat... And all they talk is about One Direction!!! I got lost for a moment. Is it a Chit Chat board to talk about whatever (like it says in the board description) or just about that boys band? If a Justin Bieber board starts here... It will be.... Oh I cannot even imagine... THE HORROR!!!!

I actually think it's rather funny. The 1Ders had taken over the November 2013 board to talk about their love of 1D months before the November BFPs started to show up. A few of the new Nov13 BFPs didn't take well to the fact that their board had already been claimed by a bunch of non-Nov13ers. A hostile takeover ensued, mods were notified and basically the bump godz decided to create a board just for the 1Ders to call home, so the Nov13ers could have their board back.

I have to say I lurked on the Nov 13 board once [no I'm not PG] and was totally confused... I guess that's because I don't even know their names in One Direction, so I was totally confused who they were talking about.

Same here...I never would have known who they were talking about. But I'm about 10 years past being into boy bands, unlike them apparently.

I lurked on that board before, and I don't know anything about the band, but I thought the ladies on there were pretty hilarious. I think it's kind of weird for a whole board to be created for that, though.

THANK YOU!!!! I mean the food board would've been useful. I don't mind that we talk about our favorite artists or stuff NBR but to swamp a board with only that!!! Ermmm this is not a fan club.

And I thought just like Jupiter... These are kids???? What are they doing posting here? At least that's the impresion I got from them.

Exactly. I posted about this new board on PgAL. It irks me. TB has so many technical issues--they can't even get siggies to work! But we better cater to a bunch of 1D fans and make them their own board! Really? FFS.
