I need some help. We were in a minor (according to NHTSA standards) accident when I stupidly hit a post in our carport last week. Since we're in Cali, although both kiddos' seats say they DO NOT need to be replaced after a minor crash (Sunshine Kids Radian65 and Graco Turbobooster), state law requires that they be replaced since they were occupied.
The SK Radian was a hand-me-down for DS from DD (gotta love the 8 year expiration!). I'm looking at replacing it with the Diono R100 (the exact same seat just new name and specs) but thought I'd ask because I'm not familiar AT ALL with all the seats on the market lately.
What car seat is your LO riding in? Do you love it? Hate it? Meh? Please tell me honestly what you don't like and do like. Thanks!
Re: If your LO is still rearfacing, please come in!
We have this one
Ditto all of this! RFing in a Civic and a CRV. The Blvd now has a different name though. And OP, I hit a part of our hvac cage at our condo building. Our seat was not occupied though and Britax doesn't require replacement.
For the scope on the very newest seats and lots of info, I love Babycheapskate. Here is her link to the car seat guide. Also, on the main page, she has lots of Diono deals posted.

Do you find that it's a PITA to lift your kiddo up and into the BLVD in a CRV? DS currently is in a MyRide in DH's CRV and it's getting really tough to get him up and over the side of the seat and into the seat. But DH has a '97 CRV and I have an '05. I do have a BLVD on my list to check out.
Yes!! I assumed it was the vehicle (07 CRV) though and not the seat? C can actually climb in to the seat and put his arms through the straps all by himself in my Civic.
I think it's a little bit of both. That is why I like the Radian in my CRV. There's no "lip" on the seat to lift him up and over, and he's so dang heavy.
ditto - this is what we have and still rear facing. We thought about changing him FF but we're just too lazy and it's too cold out to figure it out standing in our cold driveway. The only thing I hate is the straps get tangled. There must be something really tangled with ours b/c I can't let them out anymore - DS is only 35 lbs and there is no way he'll still fit in that when he's 65 lbs if that's as far as the straps go.
My little man at 0-1-2
There is a silver clip in the back that has different settings on the straps depending on how big the kid is. Check out the manual - the straps definitely get big enough it's just a bit of a pain to re-thread the whole thing!

We have a Britax Boulevard in my Honda Pilot and a Britax Roundabout in DH's car.
I really love the Boulevard and wish we had gotten that for DH's car instead. DS is around 32" I think and 30 lbs and he still fits in it RF comfortably. I love the side impact padding for the extra safety and the fact that it's like a little pillow for DS when he falls asleep in there. The Roundabout doesn't have that padding. Also, DS can climb into my car and into his car seat on his own. It's in the middle seat.
To me, it's hard to get DS into DH's car. DS sits in the rear passenger seat of DH's Acura TL. We kind of have to fold him up to get him into the car seat. I think it's a pain.
DS does fine in both. We used to have a Cosco Scenera and I would not buy that again. It seemed so uncomfortable for DS because it has minimal padding.
