Getting closer...

So, I had my consult this morning with the doctor from the new clinic and it went well.  He was surprised that I had already had most of my testing done, including the psych eval.  Once I can confirm that we've completed their checklist, I could start meds as early as March with a transfer date at the end of April.

Now, for my vent.  I've been proactive with my testing because we are ready to get this ball rolling.  I reached out to my OBGYN's office again today for copies of my records; I don't think it takes 3 weeks to send out a piece of paper!

I am still waiting for my recent test results and prior medical records from my local RE.  It's been over 2 weeks and I've followed up with the nurse twice already.

I hate that I'm on top of everything and could be delayed in cycling because I don't have the necessary paperwork.  GGRRRRRRR!

Re: Getting closer...

  • I'm so glad your consult went well and so sorry about your paperwork.  It would be a crime if paperwork slowed things down. Could you call the offices and ask to speak to the practice administrator and just explain that you can't wait any longer.

I went for my WTF after my 1st IVF with everything I needed to start a DE cycle including the psych eval at the very end of November, I had to get a mammogram in Dec and I was still able to start Lupron on Christmas day and transferred in Jan.  I hope it moves as quickly for you!

  • I am glad you that the appointment went well and things are moving along medically speaking. But I totally feel ya on the annoyingness (if that's a word?) of office issues and red tape. Drives be absolutely bonkers. I''m having similar issues with my RE's billing person! Hang in there and stay on top of it, even if it means talking to the office manager. You definitely don't want to be delayed!

  • Glad that your consult went well.  We had similar issues, walked into REs office in January with all preliminary testing done.  Red tape with our insurance company caused our cycle to end up being scheduled for March/April.  Sucks to want to cycle "NOW" and everyone else doesn't see the urgency to get things rolling.  Hope that you will get the March/April cycle that you are working so hard to get.

  • Glad your consult was productive and positive. If you don't get your files soon, keep calling and advocate strongly for yourself.  Sounds like you're doing a great job as it is, just don't let them discourage you!  Could you stop by your past RE's office and tell them you'll wait as they copy?

  • Of course, as soon as I complained about the OBGYN's office, the records were in the mail yesterday.  Only they didn't include my pap results, which is what I really need.  Back on the phone with them today.

My other test results were normal....but I have to re-do the endometrial biopsy because they didn't get any endometrial tissue.  WTF?  How do you do a biopsy and end up with no tissue?   These people are driving me bonkers!
