Crotch pain...anyone else??

So for a while I have been having such pain. It's been hard to explain it but it feels like someone beat me in my crotch with a baseball bat. The MFM said it's normal for twins and started to explain a medical reason that I tried to block out..because my anxiety is terrible and I start to feel faint. Last night I couldn't even walk to the bathroom it was so bad.  It was quite the scene with DH trying to shuffle me through the house and up a step Tongue Tied  I know it has to be a nerve thing. Anyone else deal with this..and does it fade or get worse?  The sciatica I had a month ago on left side has gone away..but this has taken it's place. Sad

Re: Crotch pain...anyone else??

  • Yes and OUCH!!! I think there is some sort of support belt thing you can get for this....which sounds totally weird to me but if it gets really bad might be worth looking into! I think its called a V support belt or something! Sorry you are going through this...I found I had times when it was really bad and then it would be ok for a while....don't know if it had to do with their position maybe?

  • I haven't been getting pain, but I have been getting this weird vibrating feeling. It's like I dropped my cell phone between my legs and it keep going off. It's very strange. Apprently one of the babies is on a nerve.  Freaked me out when it started a few days ago.

  • Oh heavens yes!! There were days at the end where I could hardly shift from the reclining to upright position without wanting to cry. I did find that sometimes an ice pack alleviated some of the pain/pressure for a short while. Good luck! Hope you can find something to make it manageable!

  • Yes! It was awful- it has a name But I can't remember it. I could barely walk at times! What helped was warm baths, and a heating pad laying down all weekend too! It does go away - mine affected me about a month then disappeared.
  • Thanks girls.. Not that I'm happy you have all experienced this..but It's nice to see that this IS something normal. It scares DH so much when he sees any sign of pain from me.  I do have a support belt..one that goes right below belly..I haven't really used it because I'm not really on my feet that much. I was thinking about an ice pack..I think I will try that.. Thanks again!! It's great to be able to ask these questions to woman who are, or have been on a similar journey.

  • Yes! I feel like I've had it since about 14 weeks and it keeps getting worse, I guess as the babies keep getting bigger.   It feels like someone vag punched more or like I did way too many of some weird exercise! It the worst for me when I'm transitioning positions-from sitting to standing and back to sitting.

I've taken hot baths and on the weekends try and lay as much as possible to relieve some of the pressure.

I may have to try the ice packs next!

  • Yes. Agree with all PP. That pain was something AWFUL. No advice, just support and empathy!

  • Yes! I have this pain too and it hurts so bad! Let me know if the support belt helps!
  • I had this excruciating crotch pain a few weeks ago, but thankfully it got mostly better after a few days.  I found that keeping my legs together as I changed positions in bed, got in and out of bed, taking warm baths, and elevating my pelvis all helped.  You may need your DH's help to elevate your pelvis - I lay on the floor with pillowed under my butt and put my legs up on the couch.  Lifting my pelvis was pretty comical.  Seeing a chiropractor might help too.

  • Yes, this has been happening to me since about 18w.  My support belt is my new best friend, seriously try one out.  It just helps to aleivate some of the presssure down there.  If I don't wear it one day I pay for it dearly at night and the entire next day.  I've actually cried from the pain.

I can say that it's recently gotten a little better which I didn't think would happen, so there is some hope!
