My little guy has been running a fever since yesterday.nbsp; It was around 102 most of the day and then during the night it went up to over 104, twice.nbsp; I've been able to break it, but within 45 hours, it goes back up.nbsp; During the night he got all congested too.nbsp; It's super cold and windy and snowy right now here and I hate to take him out.nbsp; He's been drinking and is currently working on some toast.nbsp; Would you try to take him to the dr. or the ER, or neither?nbsp; Should I just wait and see if I can break the fever?nbsp; I was mostly worried when the fever spiked during the night, but since he's been awake this morning it's been better.nbsp; Thanks ladies!nbsp; I hate when he's sick. :nbsp; Knock on wood, it's not very often.
Re: WWYD? Sick baby updated
This.
When Liv spiked a fever of 104 one night after a couple of weeks of on and off colds and fevers (but no higher than 102 usually), i called the nurse's line who advised to just get her in given the history. It was a left ear infection, a complication from the cold, the Pedi said. She was treated with abx and got better within a couple of days.
Good luck.

sorry about the dup posts. Didn't know that happened last night.
What our Pedi said also was that he'd been seeing a lot of kiddos whose temps are ok or not too high in the daytime but spikes at night because of the common cold virus. But if LO seems miserable at daytime, then it tends be ear infection.
I hope your LO gets some relief soon!
