So for the last week or so I have been feeling nesting-ish So yesterday I went grocery shopping and today I am going to attempt to do a bunch of freezer meals. Here's hoping the girls co-operate for me for a while so I can at least get the chopping and meat stuff done before lunch. I have 16 recipes ready to go, thankfully a bunch of them have the same basic ingredients so it seems like a bigger project then it really is.
Next on the list - find baby name!! I AM going to do that one of these days too!
Re: Nesting day!
What are you making? I'd really like to make some freezer meals in the next couple weeks with recipes that use a lot of the ingredients, like you're doing, and could use some ideas. Have fun cooking!
Also, I noticed that you're from Burlington. Would that be Burlington, Ontario by any chance? If so, I'm about 45 minutes away from you in St-Catharines!
Yay for you! I also finally feel like getting on the ball with things all the sudden, and am going to do my freezer cooking this weekend I think.
16 recipes is very ambitious but I'm sure you will thank yourself later
If any look particularly good be sure to post!
I am making
My Mom's tomatoe meatball soup
Shepherd's pie
Chicken Pot Pie
Million Dollare Spagetti
Shredded BBQ chicken
Slow cooker Pizza bake
Simple Mac and Beef with cheese cassarole
Stuffed shells
Pork roast for the crock pot
Some bread dough
Peanut Butter Chocolate chip Miffins
Cinnamon buns
I've had to eliminate a couple because I forgot an ingredient or 2 (oops). Might be a long day but I sure will be glad when baby comes and I can just pull something out to eat
PS. YES I am originally from Burlington ON, now I live much closer to you, about 10 mins outside of St Catharines
