I am 23 weeks1 day...So far have gained about 9 lbs, the last 3 in just as many weeks. When two of my sisters were pregnant, they gained most of their weight towards the end. I believe that might be my fate. Who knows! Everyone's body is different.

18 pounds at 24 weeks I was sure my doctor was going to fuss at me, but she said that there was nothing to worry about and I'm just fine so long as my rate of gain doesn't increase!
My doctor was concerned because I gained 11 pounds in a month! Anyone else gain this much in a month? Getting my diabetes test done next week but I am hoping its not that and I just went a little crazy with food. Getting it under control now...
19 lbs @ 26 weeks. I gained 10 in 6 weeks, and my dr's nurse made a comment about it. But I figure as long as I don't continue to gain like that I should be good.
Nothing by my 18 week appointment (I'm almost 20w now). That said, I ate more food today than I have...possibly ever, so I am assuming that I'm starting to gain a little now. I am suddenly starving all the time.
Just shy of 18 weeks and it fluctuates 7-8 pounds. I started off 5 pounds overweight, so I am aiming for a gain of around 25...It may end up being closer to 30 unfortunately at this rate.

I had a 10 lb gain in 4 weeks. Doctor wasn't concerned as it's not a pattern and said I might have just popped. She said to just be aware of it and we'll see where we stand at next appointment. You can be sure I've been watching my snacking A LOT more lately!!! LOL
Tried to conceive on our own for a year before moving on to fertility treatments. Dx unexplained. About 10 months of procedures, shots, and countless doctor appointments, we got our BFP!
BFN on 5 IUI's

I gained 18 lbs by 26 weeks. My Dr said I was doing fine. During the holidays I gained 10 lbs which blows my mind BC I didn't eat a lot but we were gone and ate out a ton which is not normal. I also was drinking 2 pops a day.
I've cut that back a lot. So hopefully I slow down. But my Dr wasn't concerned or anything!
Everyone is different. Unless your doctor expresses concern then don't obsess. Focus on nutrition and not the numbers on the scale.
Absolutely what Prim said. I'm actually still negative from being so sick. Your Dr will tell you if they think you're gaining too little or too much. Otherwise, just eat healthy and don't worry about it. I actually have no idea how much I gained with DD#1 and people think it's the oddest thing.
Am I the only person who has no idea? I don't know what I've gained because I have no idea what I weigh (I honestly don't even look at my appointments).
Maybe it's because this is my third but I just don't care. I'm going to gain what I'm going to gain and it's going to come off when I have the baby. Beyond that, I don't think much about it.
I just got back from my 16 week appt and I am up 15 lbs
This is my usual m.o.
I always gain way more than others in the 1st tri. I usually gain between 35-40 in the end. I always have been able to lose it all within 6 mo without even working out. Just by breastfeeding and watching portions and such... And running after my other kids, I guess....
Don't worry about it. I mean, I would keep an eye on myself - obviously you would prefer to avoid another 11lb in one-mo gain if possible.. But our bodies largely do what they need to do IMO. You get to make the choices of what goes in, but you can't control the hunger and the hunger deserves to be responded to.

I'm up 16 lbs and am 27 weeks 3 days. I too gained a big chunk of it in this last month - 9 lbs. I was shocked when I got on the scale and saw that! My Dr was not concerned and said she sees this all the time, so not to worry. It's fluid retention, baby, of course some extra weight on us mama's, and for me, constipation as well. If you're Dr isn't concerned, than don't you worry about it. I know the big jumps can be scary though

I LOVE your way of thinking!! It is what it is

With my last baby, I only gained 1-2 lb a month, but on my 5th month and my 9th month, I gained 8 lbs each. So I ended up with 28 lbs overall, but with 2 months with large jumps. As long as you don't continue to gain 11 lbs a month, you will be fine. Some months are just pop months.
So far 25 pounds. Yikes! Already changed my diet around to be a lot healthier, but still gaining in spurts. Its weird too because since about 13 weeks I have had major food aversion and can't bring myself to eat a lot especially in the morning. lol but i'm probably just in denial about eating healthier.
