Murder in our neighborhood

If anyone lives in LA or Orange County, I am sure you saw the news about the guy who killed 4 people and multiple car jackings?  The first murder was 2 blocks from where we live.  Needless to say it's been a crazy morning.  My husband left for work really early and he literally has three cell phones, and he forgot them ALL, so I couldn't get a hold of him to figure out what was going on.  The helicopters were hovering righ over our house. 

I was hesitant to drop my DD off at school, because I still didn't know what was going on.  Then she calls me right after I drop her off freaking out.  Some kids were saying the helicopters were shooting people, but I was able to calm her down. 

Anyway, totally not blended family related...

    i work 2 miles from where he started his shooting spree at his home. That area is very very quiet. made me nervous closing the store tonight.....

    It is so quiet.  I usually walk my dogs around that park that is RIGHT in front of the house. I didn't yesterday because I wasn't sure what was going on because of the helicopters.

    I have a friend that lives in that neighborhood, and it sounded horrifying!!
