Toyota Highlander Reviews

I am looking to get a new car. Right now I drive a small SUV Honda CRV. I love it but have been looking at Toyota Highlanders. They seem slightly larger, which may come into good use if we expand our family. If you have one, had one what is your opinion of the vehicle. Was it spacious for 2 kids, etc., enough room to pack for travel, etc.??

Re: Toyota Highlander Reviews

  • I LOVE mine. The back seat is very roomy. We only have one car seat in it now, but there is room for the second one we will need soon.

We have also taken ling car trips and had plenty of room for luggage, baby stuff, etc. I highly recommend this car.

  • Looooove my Highlander. Ours is a basic 2009 model.

They have a third row seat that folds down - you can't put a car seat back there, but it still comes in handy.

We haven't had two kids in it yet, but we have had four adults plus a car seat. It was MUCH roomier than our old SUV (Xterra).

I fit quite a bit of stuff in it when I drove out to our new place, and it was really comfy for travelling.

I can put a stroller in the back and still have some space for groceries, etc. (I keep the back row seat folded down.

  • Love mine.  We bought it when I was 8 months prego.  We were looking for room for a car seat and to fit my teen and a friend comfortably.  Works great.  It is a little wider than many of the others.  Traveled by car several times with it.  We fit luggage and such for a family of 4 (including pack n play, toys) and Christmas presents!  Did not even use the roof rack.  LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  • Just a random lurker but I had an 01 highlander that I drove for 11 years and I loved loved loved it. I was Pre third row but I got rid of it right before DS2 was born and it was plenty big for two kids. I should also had when I sold it it was pushing 200k miles and I never had a major repair and it still ran perfect. I now have a Kia sportage because we couldn't swing the payments on a new highlander and I miss it. You will not be sorry. It's the greatest.

  • Love mine!! We have a 2009 Highlander Hybrid! It gets gas mileage. We have two car seats and my husband is 6'4 so we need a spacious car and this was it. You won't be sorry it is a great vehicle! We test drove the CRV, Pilot, Rav 4 nothing was as spacious!
