How do you find a baby nurse?

I am 24 weeks with twins and starting to plan for when the babies arrive. Since my DH and I have limited experience with babies (i am the youngest in my family and he is an only child) we are budgeting for a baby nurse for at least the first month. How do you find a reliable agency? Should I be asking my OB/GYN?

  • Can a family member help you for the first 2 weeks? Thats what I had and it went well. Its a ton of work and you have no idea what hit you for the first 3 months but it definitely gets easier. Best of luck! I wish I had a mothers helper twice a week the first 3 months. Check care.com.
  • Look into a private agency like Bayada home care that specializes in pediatrics

  • Reilly626---I am an over 40 FTM to be so my Mother and my DH Parents are in their 70's and while they have the best intentions, can't really help with newborn twins.
