hi Ladies, Drs wont see you until youre 8 weeks. and i have a yeast
infection. do you guys know what is safe to use? im waiting for a call
back but i thought id ask anyway...
Personally I would call the clinic and ask to wither speak to the medical assistant that they have there to assist with medical related questions or ask to speak to a doctor. Many medications have different affects on women so to say for sure which medication is safe is a bit difficult. I had a UTI earlier in my pregnancy and they had to perscribe antibiotics that were safe for me to use. So on the caution side just call and ask or go to the clinic personally and speak to one of the medics there. Good luck and I do hope it works out for ou. Infections in general are a pain.

I had a yeast infection over the holidays and used monistat 7. I read somewhere on another baby site that it has to be the monistat 7 and not the other stronger versions. My OB gives me scripts for the one pill you take by mouth (Diflucan) you might just want to pop into your general doctor and get a script for that. It is way faster and imo works better and insurance covers it too!
I've had 2 and both times my doctor said just grab monistat 3 or 7 day treatment. Most women on this board have been instructed to do the same. I would, however, as a PP suggested call your Dr. first just to make sure since every doctor is different.

Diflucan is not considered safe in early pregnancy. Some OBs will prescribe it in the 3rd trimester, but Monistat is preferred during pregnancy.
