The thread on bathing reminded me of one of my more eventful days. So I thought I would share and let you guys have a good laugh.
Two weeks ago, D took a 3 hour mid afternoon nap. I was shocked! However, when he woke up I noticed he must had made a poopy when he was sleeping so I went to change him. Some of the poop was stuck on, and I hate when that happens because I don't want to wipe too hard. So I take nekkid baby into the bathroom, fill one of the sinks with water and get ready to wash him. I was just about to put him in the sink when he lets out what I think is a very loud, long fart. I look in the mirror and to my surprise he has just pooped! All down my chest and stomach, all over the bathroom counter, down the front of the cabinet and on the floor. So I am standing there, topless, covered in poop just staring at myself in the mirror for a few seconds before it dawns on me. This is only the beginning... there will be so many more years of pee and poop accidents. Snot and vomit. You name it, I will probably be covered it in.
How come that is not in the brochure!
Re: Have a laugh, on me!
haha babies tend to have the perfect timing when it comes to that!
The other day I was changing L and just had her cleaned up when she sneezed and poop come flying out and landed on me. H couldn't stop laughing. At least it missed my face!
Thanks for sharing, its a good reminder that ...well.... poop happens. I have YET to have a poop story... but she has pooped while i was changing her...f fortunately it just oozed out.. no explosions, no mess.....but yes, i know my day will come
Hahaha!
Rowan didn't come with a brochure! Where did you get yours?
I have had an incident where we were doing naked tummy time and we got major projectile poop. I find it utterly hysterical. Such a cute sweet baby just letting it all hang out there.
Funny Story about poops, huh? I've got one.
It was like day three of him being in the NICU and I hadn't been discharged from the hospital yet. The nurse let me change his diaper before we fed him. He had a poopy diaper. As nervous as I was that I would pull his pic line out or his IV or anything else he was hooked up to for that matter. Anyway, I started changing his diaper, I had DH holding 2 wipes. I grabbed one of them and wiped Zane's little booty and some crusty poop on the inside of one of his cheeks. I must've triggered something around his butt because he farts and totally sh!ts all over my hand, all over his blankets, all on the inside of his hospital bed. All I could do was keep my hands in his bed and lean over and laugh. DH was cracking up as well. His nurse came over and asked us to keep it down, realized what happened, and she started laughing and told me "It's not the first time or the last time that will happen."
Too cute! I'm glad I am not the only one with a poop story.
