My husband and I have had a little girl name picked out from the beginning but our A/S in on Thursday and the only boy name that we are close to agreeing on is "Milo" and I'm kind of unsure about it. the middle name would be Timothy so it's not too out-there, but still fairly unusual. What do you all think?

Re: Opinions on "Milo"
Sorry, I don't like Milo for a human baby, it's 100% a dog name to me.
Miles Timothy or Timothy Miles sounds much better.
(I love Timothy - unfortunately, I dated one so that name is officially banned from all phantom sons of mine)
DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
I think it's cute, but I am slightly bothered by the trendiness. I don't know if it is going to be one of those names that will seem dated in 10 years.
I like Joy's suggestion of Miles.

This.
Yes to Miles, not to Milo,
for me, It does not matter to you but Its my dogs name and I know alot of Milo dogs.
First thing that comes to mind is Milo the dog from The Incredible Journey... and then the new dog treat brand that's always on TV.
I prefer it as a nn to Miles, actually I like Miles much better but could get on board with Milo as a nn.
I love the name Milo and like a lot of the other posters agree it might be better suited for a dog. In fact I have a Goldendoodle named Milo myself.
I think the name Miles is very manly and it is so close to the name Milo.
Agreed. It's not a bad name, but I do prefer Miles.
Love it! Actually, we almost named DS' baby doll Milo, but Jack won out by a narrow margin.
As for popularity, it was only 361 in 2011, which isn't bad, but it has risen very quickly, so it's possible it might rise more in the next few years.
I think Milo is a cute name for a little one and a nice name for an old man but I have trouble picturing it on someone 14-72 years old. It doesn't feel like it ages well to me.
What are your thoughts on Miles?

I think Milo is an adorable name!
And I think you could always call Milo "Miles" as a nickname.

same, this is my dogs name!
I definitely think it's overplayed. Cute though. I just can't see calling a teenage boy Milo.
