Light spotting after ultrasound?

I just had my first vaginal ultrasound since I'm only 7 weeks. I went to the bathroom about an hour later and noticed a light pinkish red discharge when I wiped? Is this normal???

Re: Light spotting after ultrasound?

  • Very normal. Scary though. Your cervix is just extra sensitive during pregnancy so that wand can irritate it. If it gets worse or is accompanied by cramps then definitely call you doctor but light spotting is definitely okay.

FYI...I think you might have meant to post this on the October board, if you're 7 weeks.
