I've recently found a few listings on etsy where they will create an invitation and thank you card and then send you the disk or email you a pdf so that you can print as many as you'd like. It seems like a great deal to me. They cost around $10.
My son's bday theme is construction zone. I searched all the sites mentioned in the PP's and found the one I loved the most on a site called Mixbook. I usually order from Tinyprints.com though. If you are having a themed party you can usually get a theme package on Etsy like the previous poster mentioned, where it includes all the PDF files for you to print out all the coordinating party items at home, and most are a really resonable price!
ETA: Hence, his pic below...it was the pic I put on the back of his invite

I love etsy. I found someone, R&R creations, who has exactly what I am looking for. They are doing a custom order which a lot of the etsy sellers do.
Others mentioned are good too, tiny prints, minted.com, vistaprint. Depends what you want and what they have, and how much you want to spend.
