Lets talk about Easter Baskets!

I am sitting here looking through Etsy trying to pick out a cute monogramed Easter basket Madison can have for years to come. Then I got to thinking what will I plan on putting in it this year?!?

So far I have come up with-- A book about Easter / Easter bunny, Maybe a new bunny lovely... And that's about it...

Have any of you thought about this, or have any ideas?!?

Last year we bought Tatum a cute wooden basket with a cloth liner and little flowers and bunnies embroidered on it, expecting that it would be her Easter basket for years and years. I got it at Target.

We'll put some snacks in it, and a couple of little toys. Maybe some new crayons, or something like that.

We've got the toddler tunes too. Very nice.

Well, since we just got all her hair cut off I got some colored elestic head bands so she doesn't look like a boy & she has been all about my jewlery box latley. So I picked her up a little necklace & bracelet from the kiddie section. Nothing special just plastic play beads.

We'll put gold fish crackers in hers cause she loves them and maybe a spring dress & tights.

Hadn't thought about it yet but I'd like to get N a nice basket (last year I had a cheap one) that we can re-use every year. I'll probably get a bunny, a book, some bunny grahams that she likes, and maybe new markers or crayons or such.

I'm also looking for a cute easter dress -- I don't like the colors at carters/children's place this year.

Last year we got the basket from PBK with the insert"Baby's First Easter" sooo we need to find a new insert for the big wooden basket we have.

I am thinking, new pool towels, swim suit, books, spring jammies, bento boxes (ha Stick out tongue ), probably some new big boy plates...the sky is the limit!

I need to get on finding a suit for church!

absolutely not too girly! They have blue and white lids that would work for Bo... With a couple of different fabrics for Bo! Bo is too stylish not to have his own monogrammed sippy and snack cup!!

I think we'll make her up a small basket with a book, maybe a stuffed animal, and a few snacks or treats in it. I'll fill it up with Easter grass, which I think she will like more than anything else!

Big shocker, I'm also ordering a PBK easter basket for Augie. I tried to last year but the ones I wanted were out of stock. I plan to order his this week.

(I'm weird and I want all of my kids to match which is a huge plus for PBK vs. Etsy for me ... PBK keeps the same stuff every year so if we have a #3 4-5 years down the road it'll be easy to get a matching basket)

As for stuff inside -

a chocolate bunny for sure and a kite! I can't wait to fly a kite with him. My easter basket always had a kite in it when I was little and I just loved flying it with my dad. I know Augie and DH will have so much fun flying a kite.

Other than that, I'm sure a Disney movie will find its way in the basket.

I never even thought of a basket that can be used year after year. I love that idea! Were just putting in some little things, bubbles, crayons, sidewalk chalk. Maybe new PJs and a spring hat

I always do a new basket based on their interests, and then it becomes part of toy storage. For K, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get this Lightning McQueen race track, socks, plates, snacks, a new sippy. We got a bubble machine one year, and it was a hit.

Zulilly had a bunch of Sesame Street stuff a few weeks ago and DD is obsessed with Elmo so I get her an Elmo doll and books and plate/bowl/cup sets. That's what I plan on putting in there. I might get some plastic eggs and fill them with puffs or Kix or something.

ETA: Oh and I caved and bought PBK matching ones for DD1 and DD2 I like the idea of being able to order another matching one later. We will try one more time after this so we have a 3 DD possibility

I got B a nice basket last year from a local craft store. I'd like to get her a personalized liner. We got her some little people for her castle and a pool float to go with the pool we just got. Maybe some sidewalk chalk, a board book and some goodies.

When my kids were that age, I always gave them bubble bath, bath colours, side walk chalk, bubbles. I steered clear of candy.

I actually went straight to PBK after writing my post, saw the free shipping, and ordered it! I got the navy and green plaid *drool*. I personalize all his stuff as "Augie". We very rarely call him August.

We have a small bubble machine from Target clearance that will be the main focus. Otherwise we'll get him sunglasses, a hat, bubble solution, an Easter book, and maybe some fun little things like crayons, a homemade (by mom!) I spy bag, and some snacks.
