Today was our first ultrasound, yay!
As we were sitting in the waiting room, DH and I were discussing our budget plan and all the things we need to account for in the next seven months when we were finally called into another series of small waiting rooms. I get all stirrupped for the reveal and I get a little concerned as the tech asks, "Have you had any bleeding?" My heart sank. Then, I'm looking at the screen, and as the question is coming out of my mouth she says, "welllll, it looks like you are having twins". WHAT? Whoa. I mean, GREAT! But wow!
As far as I know they could run in my family, my mom had mentioned when I was younger that my sister was a twin, but she definitely had a drug problem and I didn't tend to believe what she had to say. Either way, looks like that budget is gonna need to be a little more padded! Oy!

Thanks ladies!
Ha, DH's response was classic. "So, does having sex multiple times cause there to be two? I mean, if we did it a lot would one have already been fertilized and then a second one?"
I am noticeably more tired and hungry now
HAH! CONGRATS!
Look into your areas twin club for their sale! That's where I am picking up a lot of my big stuff! And get on the multiples board! Those women are awesome.

This birth month has tons of twins! Congrats!
Twins run in my family every other generation like clockwork. My sister's boys are fraternal twins. DS was obviously a singleton and I was very nervous that this pregnancy would be twins (we'd figure it out and be happy, just having 3 kids instead of 2!)... but thankfully one little peanut.
