Looks like there's a few of us on this board!! I love meeting new Photographers! Can we share our websites here? Is that against bump rules or anything? If not, I'd love to check out everyone's work and like your FB page if you have one.

I had to close my stuidio after dd1 was born. I still do take portraits for friends and family until I'm ready to reopen someday after all the kids are in school. I do still have a FB page: Kristina Stell Photography not as much on it as I had on my actual studio website or blog, but you get the gist. I still post on the page when I do my families senior/wedding etc pics.

Yeah, I'm a little nervous as to how this baby will affect my business. It's hard enough with 2 kids! I'll be taking October through December off, which sucks because a large chunk of that is my busy season, so hopefully in spring 2014 I'll be back at it : I sadly won't be able to do many births either since its so hard on me when I'm pregnant. I have a July birth scheduled and I already know that is going to kick my butt!

When I get to my computer later on I will check out your page!

I'm not a photographer but I love photography so I checked out your page - amazing! I had never heard of birth photography before today but your photos brought tears to my eyes!

I read in your bio you went to AI - my husband and I did too, but the Chicago campus.

Did you go to THE Art Institute of Chicago? At the museum? That's awesome! What did you get your degree in? And I love Chicago. LOVE it. I've always wanted to live there.

We went to the AI campus in Schaumburg, a suburb of Chicago...but with free student admission to the museum, we visited pretty frequently throughout our time at AI, of course!

My degree is in Interior Design, my husband's is in Game Art and Design.

Oh that's cool! I graduated 12 years ago from KCAI but since then they have built an AI international and they have a lot of new and fun degree options, probably way more applicable in today's job market than my Art History/Photography degree :

I just started up my photography business a few months after my DD was born. Since I started in the fall last year, I did a few family and friends & a successful Holiday Card sessions... After the holidays I took a while to get back going again... But I have a facebook page, blog and website & I always love ideas, fans & feedback!

I already had to refer a Seltember bride to another photographer. I was so bummed because she was in my cabin when I was a camp counselor.

I'm hoping to be back at it a few weeks after delivery if all goes well. Autumn is definitely my busy time.
