After read the post about weight loss post partum, it is amazing how many women are back in their regular clothes and or size. Congrats!
However this isnt the case for most people at least from what I have seen. Don't feel like you have to drop the vast majority right away. Everyone is different. I feel like crap about myself for at least a month or so after giving birth...just feel ugly. If I thought being back in my jeans that fast is standard I would have been even nuttier.
i actually don't lose the last ten or so pounds until I wean. I think my Irish genes hold on in case there is a famine or something.
Be health and good luck but don't worry if you are still wearing maternity clothes a month after giving birth.
Re: pp weight loss PSA
I've had a good experience this time but with my son I lost some weight ( the weight of him) and then gained while BFing. So almost three years later I'm hoping I finally lose the baby weight of my first!!
DS1: Quinn - 10.22.10 and DS2: Cole - 01.18.13
Thank you for posting this! IF I had gained the appropriate amount of weight (around 25 lbs), I would have been back in my old jeans by now. However, life happened and I gained 60 lbs... so I've got about 35 lbs to go.
I'm breastfeeding and looking forward to losing the rest via smart eating and exercise... but for now, I'm enjoying my DS and remembering that he will never be this little again. Snuggling on the couch and being happy is my main goal these days
