Two Under 2

Tough stuff!

I am finding it SO hard to carry around DS while pregnant!  I've not gained much weight at all, but I feel like a mountain and am constantly huffing and puffing when having to carry DS!  He's just over 20lbs (porkchop!!).. The hardest parts are carrying him outside from the car into the house when I have my hands full of other stuff.. which, I've easily remedied by just taking a 2nd trip.. one to carry him in and then a second to get my work computer, purse, his bag, etc.  But, the one that's really hard is carrying him up the steps!  I have no idea how I'm going to manage this when I'm approaching and in 3rd trimester!  I already stop halfway up the staircase to take a break!! LOL.. pitiful!

And then, of course, I have the irrational thoughts of "Ahhhh, I'm struggling handling this now, how am I going to manage with 2 babies!!".  But, at least I won't be out of breath all the freakin time!!

  • Yes to all of this! I feel like I should add something else to your comments, but no, you pretty much covered what I have been thinking.

  • I was the same way.  I get really anemic while I'm pg and mine were always under my rib cage taking up my lung capacity.  For me, it was easier when they were on the outside.

  • Last night was a bust staying at my folks and DD was scared to walk out in the dark which meant I carried both my 36lb DD and my 25lb DS all the way out to the van.  My Dad had had surgery and couldn't lift anything over 10lbs so... I guess it sucks but you just have to keep plugging along.

  • DS was 31 lbs at his 18 month check up.

Carrying his around was awful in my 3rd trimester. I just started holding his hand and making him walk.
