Trying to decide between baby first JET and baby first ignite umbrella stroller. I will be using it for travel- air and train. It needs to be able to hold some cargo and fold easily. Anyone have experience with either of these strollers?
We have the Jet. It is easy to fold and store. I was also looking for storage, but unfortunately am a little disappointed in this area. There is a pouch that goes across the handles that is nice for cups and keys. However, the storage space underneath the seat is very small and the way the bars go across the back of the stroller, it is very hard to fit things in and out. I usually end up hanging DS' backpack on the back of the stroller. My other complaint about it is that the footstrap broke after only a few months of use and when I contacted customer service, they told me they would sell me a new stroller, but not a new strap
Just bought the Ignite for some upcoming traveling. I didn't get to see it in person before purchasing it, but I understood it was the upgraded version of the Jet, which was on display. The Ignite is taller than the Jet and has a reinforced back panel, but it's surprisingly heavy (seems heavier than advertised) and I am struggling to manage it one-handed when it's collapsed. The handling is a touch better on the Ignite maybe because it has more substance. Also I understand the canopy doesn't adjust on the Ignite but it does on the Jet. The basket access the same, crappy. Overall for travel, I think weight is paramount so I would say the Jet is probably the better bet. It's available on Amazon for $37 last I saw.
We just got the Ignite a few weeks ago. So far, we've only used it on a couple of short outings, but we really like it. I was surprised at how sturdy it feels - I think it'll hold up really well. After reading reviews, we went with the Ignite instead of the Jet because the seat is wider & taller than the Jet (we want something that will last) and all of the reviews suggested that it had a much sturdier feel, better wheels, better handle grips, etc.
I have the Jet, have used it for about 1.5 years mostly when on trips. For the price, its great. The handle cushion on one side is ripping a little but that's probably because we aren't careful at all with it when packing up the car, etc. like PP mentioned the storage underneath isn't so great but its usable. Any umbrella stroller that folds this small wont have much storage. The shade is a joke but we bought the summers infant shade extender and use it with this stroller (DD is really fair skinned). The recline is only a few inches but just last month DD slept for over 2 hours in it while at disney, so it must be comfy enough!
And regarding customer service, I've found them to be great. Our first stroller arrived with a rip in the seat and we were sent a replacement stroller within a week or so.
