Big island?

My husband and I are visiting Hawaii in April. We are going to volcano national park while on the big island however I just found out I'm pregnant and now am worried about the sulfur smell. The guide books say to stay away from the steam vents, etc. but I was wondering from anyone who has been there, how overwhelming the scent can be in the rest of the park. Of course, I will run this by my OB as well.

    I was there a couple years ago...sulfur smell was only noticeable in one or two areas, and I don't recall it permeating the whole park. However, i wasnt pregnant then! And since the volcano is more active this year maybe you could call the visitors info center and ask?

    I haven't been there in a while but I agree there are only a few areas where it's noticeable... U should be ok
