supplement w/formula but..

Pediatrician wants us to supplement a little formula with breastfeeding still because LO isn't gaining what she'd like her to gain.

My problem is that she pretty much refuses the formula when offered. We have to fight her to take it.

The only thing that's worked so far but not every time. I feed her on one breast. Then give her the bottle, burp her after and the give her the other breast.

Any suggestions on how to get her to take it without a struggle? Thanks for any input.

    Does she refuse the bottle in general or just formula in a bottle?

    If it's just formula, have you tried the ready to feed and are you warming it?

     If it's the bottle in general, have you tried a different type?  My LO used to only take the Tommy Tippee but now he will take anything.  Good luck!  Supplementing can be such a pain and stress...

    If it isn't the bottle, I would try different kinds and brands of formula. DS is picky to the taste of different formulas.

    She's taken a bottle of breast milk before, so it's got to be the formula. Thanks for the suggestions. :0
