based on the calculation on here I am 8 weeks 0 days pregnant, but based on the pregnancy calendar my doctor gave me it says I am one week ahead, so 9 weeks 0 days. Both of these calendars are based on the first day of my last period which was December 24, 2012. Any idea why they are one week apart?

I was just searching for the same info. This site says I'm 6 weeks and another site says 7 weeks. My due date is supposedly 10/13/13 based on the online calculator. My last period started 1/6/13. But I cannot figure out why the weeks are different for different sites. I think this site doesn't start counting until you've finished the first full week whereas the others start you at week 1 from the date you start your period. That doesn't really make sense though.
I think the difference may be in the "week" you are in. For instance, I am 10 weeks 3 days but technically im in my 11th week of pregnancy. My 10th week of pregnancy ended on Friday. I know on some of my pregnancy apps there is differing information and I think it has to do with the fact that some use 10 week info for 10 weeks and all the days up to 11 weeks and some use 11 week info for anything past exactly 10 weeks..
I would personally use the one that seems more accurate. If you have a dating u/s that is really the only way to know exactly how far along you are, because chances are if you have not had one you are most likely not exactly 8 weeks or 9 weeks you are probably somewhere in between.. going off the LMP is usually your best guess. I was even charting when I got my BFP and thought I knew exactly how far along I was, welp low and behold at the u/s I was further along than I thought so there is just no way of knowing until that u/s
ETA: I was going off the OP's dates
The LMP calculators are based on a 40 week scale so there is no way one could be saying 8 and the other 9. I would ask your doctor about how his calculator works.
thanks for all your responses.
the chart the doctor gave me has a wheel on it, that you match up to the correct date for you. There is a big arrow that says "first day of last period" so I lined that up to December 24, and according to that on Feb 20 I am 9weeks2days, but this website says I am 8weeks2days. I have my first ultrasound on Feb 26th, so I guess I will know for sure then.
