So I'm in a super-talkative mood tonight.
How does everyone do bath-time? Any parts that are harder to get clean than others? Does your LO like bath time or no?
I use the big blue BRU tub at the kitchen sink, and always recruit DH to help if he's home. He holds, I wash.
I always find that getting W's neck crevices is the hardest part. He won't cooperate and tilt his head back far enough.
He is so hit or miss with baths. Sometimes he likes it and kicks his legs and splashes around, other times (like tonight) he makes pouty face and cries.
Re: bathing baby
Lately we have been taking turns taking D into the shower with us at night. Most nights it is just for the sensory experience and a rinse. Some nights we do Aveeno baby wash.
He loves the shower, hates the fisher price blue whale tub. Sometimes I fill our garden tub and get in with him and float him around while I hold his head.
I hate trying to get to D's neck. He has chubby cheeks and double chin and he squirms his head all over in the shower. I am afraid I will choke him trying to get his rolls clean.
I bathe E in the whale tub on the counter while DH bathes DS1 in the tub. DS2 loves to kick and play, but his favorite thing is staring at himself in the mirror!
And yep, the neck is the hard part; so many rolls!
I'm glad you mentioned the shower and tub, cause I have questions!!
So do you just hold him in the shower, or do you have one of those mesh slings that are made for showering/swimming? And in the bath, silly question, but what about pee? I'd love to try putting him in the tub with me but I'm all freaked out about a #1 or #2 issue...

We just hold him. since we have a garden tub there is a lot of room to hold him under the water or step out of the water.
I really never worried about the potty issue in the tub, if he pees we just change out the water. I've not had him poop in there yet, but he has pooped all over me several times since he was born I guess it no longer bothers me lol.
When DH is home he will entertain one while I bathe the other
Awww, little neck rolls, I love them. But, I agree, difficult to wash!
I use the little Ikea tub, which is fine, and I pull the detachable shower head out to fill it on the floor.
I am looking forward to when she can sit up on her own, because it is a little awkward to hold her. She loves the bath, though, and is discovering her feet as they splash. I bathe her every other day, and I look forward to it. So fun.
I wash her hair pretty often, though... hehe. I like it all clean and poofy.
oh, and StephRN... your LO has amazing eyes!
Aww thanks! I have blue eyes and DH has brown. I'm glad hers seem to be going blue! I hope they stay that way!

M loooooves bath time. He's always smiling, laughing and trying to splash me! He sleeps really good on bath nights too.
The hardest part to clean is definitely the neck rolls. And his back. Sometimes it's hard to lean him forward and clean his back.

A loves bath time! She smiles and laughs through it and also afterwards when I'm drying her. I bathe her in a plastic baby tub on a stand in the bathroom. I find it hard to clean her neck and feet (because she moves them around so much).
We do better with bath time when it's just me and E. I use the baby bath with the sling. I wipe his neck and face first and then when I bathe him, I wipe his neck one more time. He is usually pretty good until I try to take him out and he screams bloody murder.
DH won't give him a bath on his own anymore b/c E freaked and cried the whole time.
we have the whale tub and I do the the washing (one wash cloth for the face and hair and one for the hoo-ha and butt). DH does the holding to make sure she doesnt slide down.
She loves the bath part but cries when she first comes out so its a battle to put cream on her and get her dressed.
Yes, the armpits and neckfolds are the hardest.
