BC? what do people use?

Hello,

Ok so I have been on BC pills a bunch. Mostly the same one for like 10 years, then came off it to have the boys, it is no longer being sold near me because it was recalled a few times, blah blah blah. Needless to say I am stuck now on what to use. I tried to paraguard for a few months in between the boys ( we thought we were one and done, turned out not for us) I hated the paraguard. easy to use but the cramping was horrible!

Now I am on the 3 month generic seasonal pill, not loving it. Sex drive is low, annoying break through bleeding, etc

What do people use that is good? Should I try that Mirena IUD or does it have the same issues as the paraguard?

The pill makes me feel terrible and I've tried a variety of them over the years. So we're using condoms for now and DH will get the snip snip when were done with kiddos.

I have Mirena and it is not NEARLY as bad as paraguard can be with cramping or bleeding. They actually recommend Mirena as a way to combat super heavy periods. I don't even get my period on it (I've had it for a year and stopped BFing in August) and have zero cramping.

I'm on my second Mirena. Got one after both kids. I had heavy painful periods and the Mirena makes all of that nonexistent. The most I get is spotting for a couple days and that can be once in a blue moon. Not monthly.

I use Mirena too and don't have any issues. I haven't tried Paraguard though so I can't say how it is in comparision. Good luck!

Thanks ladies!! I think I will make an appt for the mirena, I am so sick of the pill and I can never go back to the paraguard.
