We went on our 1st official regional park hike yesterday... it was sooo incredible. felt great to get out of the house as a family and do something other than run errands. Our park dept has a 2013 trails challenge that we are going to participate in .... get some miles on that jogging stroller.
Today is dollar day at the races. Her cousin and aunt really wanna see the baby but I am kinda burnt on the home visits... so we are meeting them at the race track
Then home for a nice dinner and chill time. Let's hope the Lil Miss goes along with the game plan hahahahaha
Re: awesome weather awesome weekend
That sounds like fun! I bet she sleeps well after all that outside time!
I have been on a few hikes with R and I just love it.
But... I like a winter baby because then she will be sitting up and swimming during the summer months. Newborns kind of make you stay inside a lot in the beginning, which is okay during the winter...
We got the Jeep Liberty kind alike this one https://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_04916350000P?srccode=cii_45538312&cpncode=33-143158622-2&sid=IDx20121113x00001b
It works for us, but it DOES take up alot of room in the car and its kinda heavy. But it pops open and closed pretty easy and has TONS or storage. Ours also has the I pod connection and speaker which was a bell and whistle we didn't really need but it was great yesterday on our hike
the front wheel locks and unlocks which i think is a good feature for different surfaces... the ones that ONLY have a stationary front wheel would be hard to use on some surfaces, my wrists would die
I recommend going and actually trying them out.. especially the folding unfolding ....
I haven't tried jogging with it yet but its been great so far. My mother loved the large amount of storage room especially when we went shopping.
The trails challenge sounds awesome! I love hitting all the trails around Atl, but had to take some major time off hiking when I was pg and had to pee every hour. Did our first trail walk with baby yesterday! It was friggin COLD but I loved it and can't wait to do more!
