birth control?

I know I haven't been on the bump in a long time. Lol Lily is 4 weeks old this Monday. I am thinking about what birth control I should use now. We are formula feeding, so it really doesn't matter which BC I use. I am hoping for either the depo shot or the implanon implant in your arm. We do want another baby in a couple years most likely, and I know the depo shot makes it a little hard to get pregnant once you're off it. So my question is, which seems like the better option? Have you used any of them and what dis you think about it? Id love opinions!

Re: birth control?

  • I'm either going back on the pill or getting an IUD.

I don't know much about the implant but I hated the depo shot. It made me bleed for months. I guess most people have the opposite reaction but it made everyone I know who tried it gain weight too. Sometimes a lot of weight. That isn't a side effect I'd welcome right now.

This was me after my first DS. I bled for months and put all my pregnancy weight back on when DS was 6 months old I weighed what I did when I delivered him. If you are looking to wait a couple years I highly recommend an IUD. It's the best I've found when it comes to ease, effectiveness and the least side effects.

Did you have the para guard or the mirena?

    I had the mirena
  • I was on Nuvaring prior to TTC/getting pregnant and I loved it. That's what I'm using again.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • I haven't used either. I'm most likely going back on the pill. I also have PCOS, so I think the pill works best for that.
