Mucus plug with blood?

So I think I have been loosing y mucus plug last night and this morning. Now it's starting to have small streaks of blood. I'm not quite 39 weeks so I keep telling myself that I'm getting myself to excited. How soon before You went into labor did you lose you mucus plug and is it normal for a little blood to be in it?

On a side not DH tore his Achilles on v day so now my dtb is hobbling around on crutches. I guess the silver lining is we met our deductible a long time ago so we won't owe anything for his upcoming bills. I packed my bag a left it down stairs for fear he will ey the call and be all by himself trying to load up my bags while on crutches. The weather here is to unpredictable to leave it in the car.

    I lost my mucus plug about 5 weeks before having him. But I had blood in it the say before I had him.

    I lost my mucus plug and had bloody show all day Thursday...and I'm still waiting.

    I lost mine this morning with dark blood which I know means it's older.  I've been spotting since Friday and lost my MP this morning.  I am hoping that this means labor is on it's way.  I know that each pregnancy is different, but I am hoping that since this is happening so close to the end, that we aren't too far from the finish line!

    With my first, I lost my MP at 37 weeks, but never had any blood in it at all. With this one, I lost my MP around 37 weeks with bright red streaks in it (which is totally normal. Your cervix has lots of tiny capillaries in it and as it dilates, it can cause some to burst and thus, create tiny amounts of blood here and there.) and am 3cm dilated right now. Its typically a good indicator that things are progressing, but you never know how long it will be until labor happens. My water broke with my first 10 days early, and I'm still waiting for something to happen with this one. lol

    I lost mine going on 4 weeks ago and I am still pregnant. Blood is normal tho.
