Just had cervix length check and it got shorter, although I was told it was still within normal range. I was watching the US tech lady type in numbers and I saw measurements from 3.0-3.6. So I guess she must have been taking it from different angles. I was told 2 weeks ago that it was 4. MFM was concerned enough to ask me to come back next week to see if any more changes happen.
I am getting closer to the point of when I started having problems with DS and so even though my cervical length is still considered within normal range, I am freaking out and cried as soon as I got home.
Didn't realize that we had the same due date! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that your cervix behaves and that your next appointment goes well. Just curious-are you also taking P17 shots this time?

Hi, Same to you. Let's hope everything stays put between now and our next cervical checks. Good luck! I am taking 17P shots this time around. A nurse comes to my house to give the shot every Thursday night. Which meant I got to have a romantic Valentine's of icing my sore hip.

My twin's birth story
Had my 24 week appt and my cervix is staying long at 5 cm! We did discuss that it most likely started thinning out between 30-32 weeks last time since I had an internal at 28 weeks and it was fine, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.
I also wanted to say that I love my OB he told me that if I'm ever worried about anything to call or come in. He said it's just as important to treat the mind as it is the body. It was so nice to hear that! He'd rather be extra cautious because he says I'm going to worry regardless, especially with a pre-term birth the first time.

In short, my scar from my c/s with DD1 started to rupture, so I needed another unplanned c/s. I was already 38w4d, so this time around DD2 got to room in with me and I got to take her home when I was released - an awesome feeling! And while I always knew that a preemie was different from a full term baby, DD2 has made me realize what a huge difference 4 weeks longer in utero can make!!
BFP1: DD1 born April 2011 at 34w1d via unplanned c/s due to HELLP, DVT 1 week PP
BFP3: DD2 born Feb 2013 at 38w4d via unplanned RCS due to uterine dehiscence

My name is Lindy. I'm 33, and my daughter Natalie was born on 12-29-2009, at 29w5d. This was due to sudden and severe pre-eclampsia. Fortunately she is a happy, smart, healthy (albeit small) toddler today! I am currently 27w3d pregnant with a little boy, and so far, so good! I am fast approaching the gestational date where I gave birth last time (via emergency c), so anxiety is starting to creep in... But hopefully this little man will remain in utero for at least another 10 weeks or so! BP has been beautifully low and no swelling or protein in urine... So trying to stay positive!
