Yes! In mine I use ground (or shredded) chicken, chicken broth, diced tomatoes, diced peppers, black beans, jalopenoes (sp?), onions, and then I top it with crushed torilla chips, cheese, and a little sour cream.
I'm in the process, and have been most of the afternoon, of looking for a recipe. I just keep scavenging the different recipe sites for a recipe. I was just curious to see if someone has a recipe they can recommend.
I love taco soup, but I don;'t have a recipe. I just throw together canned tomatoes with peppers, corn, beans, taco seasoning mix, cooked ground turkey and whatever else sounds good in the crock pot. We top with cheese, sour cream and crushed chips. It is different yet yummy every time.
1 lb Ground turkey, 1 can of mexican tomatoes, 1 can italian tomatoes, 1 can sliced tomatoes, 2 cans pinto beans (or black if you prefer), 1 Hidden valley ranch seasoning, 1 can of corn.
Cook off the turkey, drain then put everything in a pot and bring to boil....then eat!
you can serve it with Sour cream, chips...whatever you please! VERY EASY!!
PS. It freezes well if you have leftovers.
