So we started solids this week! After some trial and error we wound up having a successful round of carrots

We skipped the cereal and went straight to veggies... but my question is - I know that the cereals are fortified with iron. LO is still on breastmilk and now we are starting some veggies, but of course those are not fortified. Is it recommended to supplement with some additional source of iron (or anything else?) or does the breastmilk have it covered? I read the back of some rice cereal boxes and they all mentioned how critical it is to add iron to an infants diet... so just wondering what you ladies are doing - recommendations???
