Is anyone else watching this show? OMG, DH and I are completely obsessed with it! It was just released (all 13 episodes at once) at the beginning of this month, and we only have 2 episodes left to watch. I don't know what we're going to do with ourselves when we're done, because we're both obsessed.
It's a Netflix original series starring Kevin Spacey and directed by David Fincher. I love them both, so I may have been biased going in, but Kevin Spacey is amazing in this show. It's a political drama, like a gritty, made-for-cable version of the West Wing, focused on the back-room, shady dealings of the majority whip (Spacey) as he does everything required to get more power. And it's amazing.
I completely recommend it if you have Netflix streaming.
Re: Also NBR: House of Cards on Netflix?
We just finished the Showtime series Homeland seasons 1 and 2. There's an idea for you. Netflix as it on DVD. Or we got Showtime for a month so we could watch it on demand.
I've heard that Homeland was a good show, I'll have to look into it. I don't watch TV very much, usually just whatever DH puts on (though I do exercise veto power - there is no Hillbilly Handfishing or BuckWild or half that other crap DH likes allowed when I'm participating in TV time). But every now and then DH finds a show that I really get into. Before this one, it was Breaking Bad. That might still be my favorite TV show ever.
I keep wanting to cancel Netflix, but don't for whatever reason. Looks like we'll be getting our money's worth this month. Thanks for the recommendation.
also, we got Showtime specifically for Dexter. Now we need to check out Homeland.
