November 2011 Moms

*Minneapolis Mommies*

Hey ladies, I know there are a couple of you on here. I am visiting my BFF that lives in the area next week. What are some things (cheap or free) that you do with your LOs? We are going to MOA and taking them on the rides there. That is our ony plan so far though. We will probably take them to Eden Prairie center to play around to on the mall play area there.

  • Sea Life Aquarium is at MOA too - Subway has discount coupons for adult, under 3y is free.  The Rainforest Cafe is fun for kids to eat at.  Also, there aren't too many rides for 1 year olds at Nick Universe.  There is the carousel, ferris wheel and a kids train for the tiny tots.

Children's Museum in St. Paul - About $8-9/person over 1y.

Como Zoo in St. Paul is free, but limited during the winter.

MN Zoo in Apple Valley - Under 3y is free, adults are $15-18 I think.

Eagle's Nest in New Brighton is an indoor playground.  There is also one in Edina, Edinborough Park.

     Have fun!

  • Another idea is Choo Choo Bob's in St. Paul.  All the previous suggestions are great as well.

  • I just heard of The Monkey House in White Bear Lake. It has a bunch of jump houses and other activities, I am going to bring LO there on Tuesday!
