I guess I'm in a "chatty" mood today, but I just did something stupid that I had to chuckle about & thought you all might want to share your space cadet moments too?
My moment: I just went to put my youngest down for a nap upstairs, and right after my Oldest was just waking up from her earlier nap. They sleep in the same room, so I went upstairs to quickly retrieve my Oldest so she wouldn't keep the youngest up. It wasn't til I got to the bottom of the stairs that I realized I'd spaced out and grabbed the wrong kid (my youngest who I'd JUST put down), leaving my Oldest in her bed. No clue if any of that makes sense, but I just had to shake my head about it.

Re: Your worst "baby brain" moment thus far?
Haha...that's funny.
I got in line at Target the other day. Then I realized that I didn't like any of the clothes I tried on and I had put them all back and I was in line with an empty cart.
I kept saying Valloween yesterday, instead of Valentines.
I turned on my car and started to reverse out of the garage and forgot to actually open the garage door first. Luckily I noticed before hitting it.

My Gang. Halloween 2013
Yeah this! I had to get my boss to repeat instructions 3 times before I could remember exactly what she wanted me to do. And then, after I finished the assignment, I still felt like I had done it wrong. I felt like a complete idiot!
I set up a playdate for my DD to be picked up from school by her friend's mom. But I still went to pick her up from school at the right time. The teachers looked at me weird, saying I'd sent a note for the other family to take her home. I felt like a dunce. I hadn't announced yet, so they really thought I was a space cadet, but now they understand! Ha!
Luckily I didn't make the opposite mistake by not picking her up one day.
And my DH can finally throw back at me like I have always done to him..." I already told you". Lol
I forgot my car at work.
I know.. how is that possible? Well I am dropped off every single day for work. One day though, when my mom was in town, I wanted to go out for lunch with her and some girls from work, so I asked DH, who needed to go home, to bring mom to my office, and I'd drop him off at work. Later that afternoon, everyone was going to a restaurant close to my house. I thought - hey, I can leave work a little early, and still be home at a regular time since I'll just get DH to pick me up there! I sent him a quick message online telling him I was leaving, and hopped in a co-workers car. When he called the restaurant looking for me, I was angry, I thought, how embarassing that he'd call me when I'm out! I said "just come get me here!".. he asked "how, you have the car". wow. I had to wait at the restaurant until someone was done to bring me back to the office. I was super late getting home that night. I still can't believe he wasn't mad at me.
And doesnt know im pregnant!!! Haha
Oh man, this sounds like a nightmare!
Thanks Ladies for sharing yours, it's fun to read through

I left the gas hob burning for nearly 6 hours, which I have NEVER done before. Thank goodness the house didn't burn down.
I've turned on my hair straighteners, had them over heat, remembered I was meant to be straightening my hair, turned them back on, let them over heat and so on for 4 attempts one day.
Words allude me at times, and some come out totally wrong.
I forget what I'm doing and get easily distracted which is very unlike me.
I go into rooms and forget why I'm there, or open a cupboard and have no idea what I'm looking for.
I WANT MY BRAIN BACK!!!!!
I've been sending stuff to the wrong people at work for signoffs. Happened twice already.
I left one of the front doors open at home after I came in. Luckily the outside door was closed and locked.
Ha! This reminded me when I was pg with my DS, in the shower I only shaved one leg!

lol... I put the cereal in the bathroom.
Called a few patients and forgot I was on the phone while it was ringing, so the patients would answer, say hello a few times, and hang up on me. I'd hang up on me too.
Start things and wander away from them... Cooking, work stuff, laundry, I've been striking out the last week or so.
Hey, I don't mind... The more brain cells I lose the smarter the baby right?! Haha
can't remember specifically but I forget words or say the wrong word, start something then walk away, put stuff in the wrong place, forget to flush toilet/start washing machine.
It's most dangerous when I am driving and do stupid things like forgetting to shift. I work as a nurse so it is horrible to try to remember everything all day for all of my patients. That's dangerous too!
I'm LOL about Valloween.
