Name help!

So to be clear we have no idea the gender yet but we are throwing around names for girls.... What do you ladies think of Scarlett Jean?? Jean is a family name and DH and I really like Scarlett ...we are both big Scarlett O'hara fans .... The bigger reaction so far from family is "what would you shorten it to" which is annoying because who said I wanted to shorten it!?! I dont know i guess if shortening happens Scar ??? Just trying to get an opinion from some nonbias ladies thanks in advance!

I think it's a beautiful name that does not need shortening at all. Scar is terrible. Scarlett is beautiful. If you had to have a nn, you could use, Carly, Letta, or Lettie. Good luck!

Hipster kid name.

NMS but I know like 5 little Scarlett's right now through my local moms clubs, story times and playgroups. So I know a lot of people love it.

Only one of them doesn't go by Scarlett, she goes by Lettie. Which I think is a little different...but the rest their moms/friends call them Scarlett.

This. I like Scarlett just as it is. My name is Vanessa and growing up I was always called just that: Vanessa... no Van, Vannie, Nessa (ugh, the worst!), or anything like that.

Im trying to think of boy names and i kinda like rex and mylo.. I could have sworn I thought I was having a girl and came up with so many great names but now Im so clueless

A friend named her LO Scarlett. If they call her anything but that, it's just "S". I like it.

Thanks ladies! Also I jut realized the Carl is also in the name and the is my dads name, my DH closest brothers name and my sisters name is carla!! So it is becoming more perfect the more I think about it! I think we would do the no nickname thing now that I hear all of your input! Thanks again for responding! Now watch me have a boy!! Haha
