Is this paid???

Ok my HQ is located in UT and the HR dept knows nothing about NJ maternity leaves.

I have tried looking everything up myself to provide them.

I know I can claim NJ STD for 4wks prior to due date and 6-8wks after birth, paid at 2/3rds my pay.

BUT is the NJFMLA 6 weeks or 12 weeks? and is any of it paid? I thought I saw somewhere that 6 out of the 12wks where paid but now I can seem to find anything stating that.

I do not qualify for the federal FMLA I only qualify for the NJ one.

I believe it has to be a NJ workplace with over 50 employees. 6 weeks 3/4 pay, the other nothing just job/benefit protection.

I called my HR this week to inquire and FMLA runs concurrent with STD. FMLA in NJ is 60% pay. So if you deliver natural, you'll have 6 weeks of STD and 6 weeks FMLA.

FMLA is 12 weeks of unpaid leave (if your company and you are eligible). STD is through the state and sometimes employer (my employer covers STD- 100% of pay)- 6 weeks natural birth, 8 weeks c-section. You can google nj short term disability and it will give you more details. However, FMLA is not paid- it is only to protect your job.
