As a teacher, we have winter break next week. For the longest time I've made it my goal to get EVERYTHING done and ready for baby during my time off. Now that it's here, I am a bit overwhelmed with all that is on my list!
I know I still have 9 weeks, but as a teacher, I'm hoping to spend the month of March focusing on prepping my first grade class and creating lesson plans for my sub (I'm not obligated to plan for her, but the control freak in me won't be able to leave a classroom in chaos!).
So here's what I'd like to accomplish by March 1st:
Sort through shower gifts, make returns and exchanges.
Write thank you notes for shower gifts.
Finish decorating nursery.
Wash and put away baby clothes.
Organize diaper changing stations for both floors.
Install car seat.
Pack hospital bag.
Make a few freezer meals for after delivery.
And just for a postpartum treat - create a good Netflix lineup and download some good books on my Kindle (I'm going to post in regards to this, I need some ideas!).
Yikes, having that all on screen looks like a lot! Wherever you are in your pregnancy, what's on your To Do list? When would you like to have things finished and ready for baby??
(Edited to add spaces)
Re: What's on your To Do list for baby??
Our baby furniture is being delivered tomorrow, so I would like to start bringing shower gifts home from the IL's house and start washing and putting away clothes, getting the changing station ready, etc. DH will not be able to assemble the cribs until next weekend, but when he does I would like to start decorating the nursery.
I don't have a goal on when to get this done, but I seem to get tired easily, so I want to do a little here and there so I'm not rushing to do everything last minute (as I usually do!)

Our boys couldn't wait to meet us! Colin and Kieran arrived March 26, 2013 at 33w1d.
Pretty much just have to write the thank you cards for the shower.
Once we have our last growth u/s next week I may need to shop for a preemie going home outfit.
Otherwise I just want to deep clean and organize the rest of the house as much as possible before baby gets here.
Hi Penny
I have now been off work for a week and still have a longer list than yours. Included on it is clearing out the office/nursery enough that I can get into the dresser and use the change table. I also need all nursing supplies and I have not yet packed for the hospital. I found it useful to just pick 2 things to do each weekend though in the weeks leading up to now. You are going to want to rest in your week off too!

My Cherry Blossom baby
For the month of February our goals are to:
Purchase and assemble baby furniture
Finish painting the nursery
Organize our giant pile-o-baby-items (which I'm thinking will be easier once we have the furniture in place)
File our taxes (not completely baby-related, but we're hoping for a nice refund to help pay down our IVF loan and I'm anxious to see how much we get!)
i love this list! definitely stealing for future usage!!!
GOOD LUCK! :-)

Herbal Supplements: 1800mg NAC, Fish Oil, Vitamin D, Baby Asprin, Folguard, Multivitamin
I've got all that on my list and a bunch more!
In reality, my plans this week (I'm off too) are to finish painting the nursery (that should happen today and tomorrow) before the furniture comes on Tuesday. I want to go up to IKEA to buy some spice racks for bookshelves and maybe some dividers for the drawers of the dresser as well as something to organize the closet. My shower invites need to be addressed and mailed and I have to order the boxes for the favors. My mom is hosting my shower, but she is not a detail kind of person so I am helping out with some of the planning.
I also want to get my list of freezer meals picked this week and start thinking about sub plans for when I am gone. I don't have to leave any either, but I am way too OCD to leave it up to the sub.
IVF #1 in August 2012: BFP!
