Hi guys! Im 25 and the SO and I have thrown out the bc, strictly condoms, and we are going to see how the chips fall. Hopefully I find out some good news in a couple weeks. This will be number 1 and I am feeling that kind of terror that i would bet is fairly common for trying to conceive their first. So any wise words are greatly appreciated!
edit: i meant to say that the SO and I have thrown out our bc, which was strictly condoms
Re: this is all so new, have no idea where to start
Stay off the Internets, LOL!
I'd just see how it goes for a while. And don't freak out if it takes a few cycles to regulate off of BC.
Are you looking for anything more specific?
i've not been on hormonal birth control in years. SO and I have been using condoms or rhythm methods because you can usually set your clock by my cycle plus or minus a day once a year, and we just started this weekend and from all my research we started working on this whole munchkin thing right in when my fertile window should be.
and i'm not sure what i'm looking for. i am not close to any female relatives so i have no idea where to start and the internet is very overwhelming. i'm assuming that my doctor will more or less tell me what i need to know. i really just need some camaraderie.
Welcome and Good Luck! I am also relatively new to this whole TTGP thing - we've been trying since late December.
The TTGP board is useful, but I will warn you - almost everyone over there believes in temping and charting, so don't ask "could I be pregnant" or "could I be ovulating" unless you are religiously tracking your cycles through BBT. Otherwise, the ladies will get frustrated, and it usually ends poorly for the OP. I am not temping and charting yet - hubby and I are looking to not stress ourselves out with all that just yet, and I have a tendency to get a bit obsessive about things. So, we are just having fun for awhile, having a lot of sex, and hoping for the best. If that doesn't work, I will probably be a bit more proactive come April.
Anyway, good luck, and hopefully, the process is quick for you.
