When I'm not pregnant, I like to drink a beer from time to time ---microbrews and craft beers.I don't miss it too much, but every once in a while would like to join DH for a drink.
Last pregnancy, I tried O'Douls once & hated it. This time, my DH picked me up Bitburger Drive which is definitely better.
Anybody tried other ones and liked them?
Re: Non-alcoholic beer reviews?
I thought O'douls was horrible too. I don't have any suggestions, but will definitely try the Bitburger Drive. I will also drive a regular beer evey now and then.
Last pregnancy toward the end all I wanted was a ice cold microbrew on tap. Also it had to be in a frosty glass, lol.
I'm from WI too, I see nothing wrong with having a regular alcoholic beer every now and then. I had one the other night, well actually one and a half =0
Beer and OJ is one of my favorite "mixed drinks"--I bet that would make the O'Douls taste awesome.
There are different schools of thought on alcohol consumption. Medically there is no known "safe" amount, even the tiny amount in NA beer etc. others drink small amounts during 3rd trimester.
Personally, as I said, I am abstaining.

Eh everyone does what makes them comfortable. I drink coffee, eat rare steak and raw sushi. Some don't.
Alcohol is about the only thing that I abstain from. I just don't care for the risks. If you are cool with it then its your body, your baby and whatever works for you.

I miss my beer too!! I take nips off my hubby's beer. I don't drink too much because we enjoy the micro brews with higher ABV. My hubby also brews his own beer and kegs it. This past weekend my hubby brewed a batch and I enjoyed some "sweet wort" (its tastes like sweet beer. it hasn't began the fermentation process so it contains no alcohol). I haven't ever had a NA beer.
With DS-2 I was told I could drink alcohol on occasion.
Thanks for the tip on Buckler. I also find it funny that the first few people to relate are Wisconsin ladies...since I came to love beer when I lived in WI!
I was stunned when I moved from the state and was looking for WI brews when the beer store guy said "WI has good beer? Like what, Old Milwaukee?" (That's when I left without buying anything.)
And yea, I know some see even NA beer as a risky proposition, but I'm of the all in moderation camp.
Eww Old Milwaukee!! That's as bad as the Beast (MIlwaukee's Best).
