Happy Friday, ladies! I'm starting this a few hours early b/c I'm not sure if I'll have time to do it early enough tomorrow! I hope you all had a good week and a happy Valentine's Day.

So, do you have a long weekend or do you have to work on Monday? Any special plans or fun events? Or are you just relaxing?

So I'm meeting 2 new moms for lunch tomorrow (Friday)! I am finally making some new friends through new moms group and BF support group. We are lunching at Pizzeria Uno; not my fav chain so it's quite ironic to say that I'm looking forward to lunch there! This will be my 3rd time eating out since M was born, and I'm nervous! I'm hoping that he won't have a meltdown at the restaurant. I'm planning to get there a bit early and nurse M in the car before we go in. That way, I will know for certain that he won't be hungry for at least 1.5 hours.

On Saturday DH & I, and sis-in-law are going to visit one of sil's friends. They have a 10 month old and sil introduced me to them last year when I found out I was pg. The wife has been wonderful in answering my pg questions and newborn questions, and she let me borrow a bunch of her maternity clothes. We had invited them to our "Meet Baby M party" back in December but they were out of town, so this will be the first time they meet M.

No plans for Sunday, and DH has to work Monday so it'll be a regular Monday for me as well.

We got our new floors installed today, so that's our V day excitement. And they look gorgeous! Tomorrow E and I are doing a language development study at the university. I am a scientist so I am always excited to help with research. It will take place every 3 months for 2 years, and we get a target gift card for participating. MH has to work tomorrow though so no golf for us this weekend. Oh, but I am getting E's thrush checked up on tomorrow. Praying after a month of treatment it's cleared up. Then church Sunday. She did great on Ash Wednesday, so we're going to go all of Lent and see how it goes. That's about all we have planned. We're pretty boring.

We have a V-day dance with our church group tomorrow night. Then, our niece is on a traveling volleyball team, so BIL, nephew and niece will be in town. I am hoping to get to my friend's b-day party on Sunday. I don't work Monday and then Tuesday is professional development day, so no kids and I'm off campus at a meeting all by myself. Looking forward to that!

We are celebrating my baby girl's 2nd birthday this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe she is going to be 2 on Monday! We are throwing two parties for her - one on Saturday with all of our family and a few old college friends and their kids, and one on Sunday which will be will all of her baby friends and their families. It's going to be a busy weekend!

I was hoping for a relaxing, low key weekend but it's not shaping up as planned. MH has to work tomorrow boo! so I'm meeting my sister to bake a cake for our other sister's bday and we'll probably go shopping. Saturday night we're going out for a friend's birthday sushiyuck!. Sunday is my sister's birthday so I'm hanging with her. Pedicures, and girl time followed by a good dinner out. Yikes! I'm tired just typing it out. I really want to stay home and clean/relax but I'm sure it'll be a fun weekend!

I am flying home to NC with DD. We are staying for 8 days while DH goes to a conference in CA. It's probably the last time I will get to go home for a really long time because there is no way I can fly alone with 2 babies.

I can not wait to eat some eastern NC BBQ!!!!

My hubby is taking his stat day today instead of Monday. We are going to do some shopping today. But it'll be nice having him home.

My goal for this weekend is to fix Hannah's latch. We've been EBF for almost two days and my nipple really hurts!

and I'm still trying to sort out her eating schedule, it's so different then when I bottle fed her.

One of my sorority sisters from college and her husband are coming to stay with us this weekend. She loves DS so much, she has offered to watch him and give me some time to go get a mani pedi, which I must admit I have not had since October!

DH has Monday off & he gets to spend it at CCRM We have our one day work up. We will travel down to Denver on Sunday afternoon & spend the night there, don't want to deal with traveling in bad weather on Monday morning. It's been a long time since we spent a night in the same room as our LO's it should be interesting when it comes to bedtime

Robeano, good luck! Do your nipples hurt throughout the nursing session, or just when she latches on? If they hurt the whole time, you need to break her latch and re-latch her so your nipples don't hurt. I mean, the nipples do hurt but they shouldn't be very painful. Also look into Lahsinoh soothie gel pads. They were a life-saver during the first 7-10 days of breastfeeding!

they mostly hurt during initial latch. but the big issue is that they are sore afterwards, if I accidentally brush up against them it hurts. but thank you for the suggestion on the gel pads, gonna check those out!

Other than a 3 day embryo transfer on Sunday my plans include relaxing and trying not to think about the 2ww. As of now I am supposed to meet a friend on Monday who has a 7 month old but my RE nurse just said I should not pick up more than 10 pounds during the 2ww so wont be going anywhere with DS without DH for a while.
