Weekly GTKY (week of 2/11/13)

Hey all!
Sorry for the late GTKY of the week, it's been pretty crazy busy here at work. Since today is Valentine's day, I thought we'd do a fun "love" GTKY. How/when did you KNOW your husband/SO was the right one for you? If you don't have a husband or a s/o, what are you looking for that will help you to know he's the right one for you?

I wouldn't call it love at first sight necessarily, but I pretty much knew about a month into us starting to hang out that I we'd eventually be married.
We spent like 6 hours hanging out at a bar/restaurant on our first date. The following weekend we spent the Friday night ice skating and hanging out till 2 in the morning, then met up again to take our dogs hiking at like 8 the next morning. Then that Sunday we ended up hanging out watching movies all night until I had to catch a flight the following Monday early in the morning. We literally texted every day for two weeks while I was out of town, and by then I knew we'd be inseparable.
We got engaged about a year and a half later, and then married a year an a half after that!
I met my husband through his mother, who I met through work. I was working in a different city and needed my car worked on but didn't know anyone. She told me her son was a fantastic mechanic and would do a house call for me. I gave her my info to pass on and he called me that evening. He said he never did house calls but felt like there was a reason why he should do this one (other then his mom urging him to) He showed up to the place I was staying and took FOREVER to look at my car, making up all sorts of things he needed to look at just to stay and talk to me, (even though he already knew what the problem was.) He stayed just over an hour and as soon as he left we both called our mothers and said, "I just met the person I'm going to marry."
He called me the next day, we talked over the weekend, and on Sunday he gave me the most amazing speech including things like, "I don't want to play games, this is what I want in life, this is who I am, and I want to spend my life with you, what about you?"
Needless to say, we were married three weeks later, have been married since, and are expecting our first baby in May. He is my best friend and the most beautiful, supportive, loving person I have ever met

Mine's kinda cheesy. I met my DH sophomore year in high school, we started dating when we were 15. When we went to college, we were an on again off again couple, trying to figure out what we really wanted. During the off times, when I was getting rejected and stood up by other guys, and going out to have fun with my ladies, I realized that he was exactly what I wanted in a husband and father for my future kids. Not only is he my comfort, but he's my best friend and knows almost every detail of my life. When we finally got married, we had known each other for 10 years. Happiest day of my life!
