Update on scar (incision) healing

My incision opened yesterday and started draining fluid. The triage nurse couldn't get me in with my physician until Friday and she didn't want me to wait that long to be seen so off to the ER I went. The ER physician was concerned because when she probed my wound it was deep so she called the on call OB/GYN who came to check me out. He ended up opening my incision about 3cm and packed it with gauze. I'm now on a different antibiotic than what was started in the hospital. He was so comforting and will be seeing me today and tomorrow in his office to continue my wound care. He seems hopeful this should close up real nice over the next week. Just a little speed bump in the road to recovery but when I look at my baby's face I know it is all worth it and it could be so much worse!

I was just lurking and haven't seen your original post, but I hope that you recover quickly! I had some infection/healing issues after my section and I know how painful and scary it can be.
I'm glad that the Dr. is so nice and I hope that you're feeling better soon.
