6 month old at a loud bball game?

My husband and I are planning on going to a basketball game tomorrow night in a venue that typically can get quite loud. Wondering if anyone has recommendations on protecting our LO's ears. Should we do headphones? I doubt she'd keep ear plugs in? Do we even need to bother with it? Would love to hear what you have to say! TIA!

  • We do loud soccer matches...and would definitely recommend getting some kid-sized ear protection. We do Peltor Kids ear muffs...they can still hear noise, but it cancels out the levels that would do damage.

  • My LO went to a college football final when he was 6 months. We straped him to our chests and put his hat on that has flaps over his ears and put our hands over his ears when people screamed or yelled (did this ALOT). He ended up going to sleep so I don't think he was that bothered by it.
  • We take our little one to hockey games quite regularly which get quite loud. Our doctor recommneded either noise cancelling headphones (tried this and he hated them) or swimmers ear wax. We found some at Target for $3. It has worked great.

  • We've been at concerts, LO loved the noise, but every baby's temperament is different
