Fill me in on your Vday

So, the colposcopy sort of ruined any chance of DH and I having sex, not to mention not having a babysitter for our four kids. Our plan was to meet up this afternoon for lunch as DH has a little time in between the classes he teaches. Well, last night, our kitchen sink backed up with water and after much plunging, diassembly of pipes and reassembly of pipes, it still was filling up with water so now he has to go home and meet with a plumber instead of going out to lunch with me. How very romantic ;-)

Please tell me you all have better plans.

Ooh, watch out with all the sexiness at the itsme household!
We did v day last weekend in our hit night out. Today we are getting new flooring installed so that's our big gift. The dog ate an ink pen on the carpet in the very center of the living room. Then stood in the ink, then walked around the house. So she sort of forced our hand on the new flooring. We may have to do dinner out somewhere very not fancy if the floor isn't finished. Super romantic at our place too! I might buy a card to spice things up.

Well this morning DH gave me and Hannah Valentine's day gifts. I'm having my sister in law come over this afternoon and help me clean up and she's gonna watch Hannah while I bake.

Tonight we're gonna try to have sex for the first time in quite a while. I'm actually really looking forward to it!!

for Hannah he bought her a card and a pink teddy bear.

for me a card (which is a big deal, he never buys cards), condoms (lol cuz we didn't need any for a while) but most importantly he got me a crepe pan!!

Well, I have AF right now so no sexin' it tonight for us either (shucks . I actually scheduled a hair appointment/eye brow wax for tonight and plan to go shopping for a bit before my appointment ALONE.

Yes, I realize this sounds kinda b!tchy but I'm really looking forward to it. I had the kids make DH homemade Valentine's and he got me a card and some chocolate which won't do any good for the flab that is hanging over my pants as I type this, but oh well.

Next weekend we plan to go out to a nice place for dinner and drinks to celebrate my birthday and my IL's are watching the kids for the night so we'll make up for it then.

DH & I aren't big on Valentine's Day, so nothing special. I'm putting a little more effort into dinner tonight - so it'll be pan-seared duck breasts, with mashed potatoes & rutabaga. I was at the store this AM and saw chocolate whoopie pies with PINK cream fillings, so of course I had to get those for dessert tonight!

2 weeks ago I ordered several things from Shutterfly in order to use up a $20 credit I had. So I got a fridge magnet of DH & baby M. it arrived in the mail last week, so I might as well wrap it up in some red tissue paper and call it a Valentine's Day gift.

DH and I planned on making a nice dinner home together tonight. But he was called in last minute to haul away all of this damn snow so we'll probably just order take out since we have no idea when he'll be home. In the meantime, I am spending the day with my other Valentine...

DH usually doesn't do V-day, but after the mess he made of Christmas, he's trying this year! He found a balloon that says you're my lovebug and then made the number 33 out of Junior Mints (my favorite number and my favorite candy). I got him recess peanut butter cups. We got Boo a balloon and a toy. Tonight, we'll go to our favorite Mexican restaurant because after being with crazed children all day long, we don't want to cook. And, of course, go to Sweet Addiction for dessert!

I made DH a little card with the boys' footprints on it. And, I got him an iron. Romantic, right? I haven't worn clothes that required ironing in six months, so I figure it's more a present for him. As far as other activities...horrible morning sickness + 26 weeks of pelvic rest + nursing hormones + the gross twin skin = sex drought and lady parts on strike. Every time feels like the first time- and not in the good way. Poor DH, he is making an effort. The other night, his opening seduction line was, "Ooo, your sweat pants are so soft." He's such a sweet talker .

Sorry you have to deal with plumbing issues instead of a nice lunch with your DH Our exciting plans involve DH picking up Ji.mmy Joh.ns sandwiches on his way home from work followed by an evening on the couch watching Greys at which time DH will fall asleep....then off to bed with zero romance as we have to abstain for DH's SA on Monday. St. Valentine would turn in his grave!

DH is going to make "whatever I want" for dinner on Saturday, so we'll probably just have leftovers tonight (romantic, eh?). Our anniversary is coming up soon (3/7), so we'll be going out for a nice dinner then. Today is one of my 2 office days, and I actually have a conference call at 5:00, so I'm not sure when I will be home. I got a card, DVD and some sweets for DS and cards (one from me and one from DS) and some chocolate for DH. We will all exchange V Day goodies when I get home.
