Tylenol sinus or sudafed?

Ok I no longer feel weak and sick. But now i can't effin Breathe. Hence why I'm up at 530 am when i don't have to be at work until 930 today. So golden question

Which is better, faster and more effective, Tylenol sinus or sudafed?

I've never taken either of them so I haven't the slightest clue. I am going to the store before work so any answers before then would be fab.

Ty!

Re: Tylenol sinus or sudafed?

  • Sudafed never worked for me. I'd try Tylenol.

  • I've never taken anything but sudafed and it has always worked for me. I have never taken it pregnant though so I don't know if it is safe during pregnancy.

I prefer sudafed. Real, behind the pharmacy counter sudafed.

Yep. With Tylenol if there's any pain and some Benadryl to help dry things out a bit more.

  • Thanks ladies! I was running late due to pouring rain and traffic and of course pharmacy was busy. So I just grabbed tylenol sinus...here's hoping I get some sleep tonight. When I blow my nose its still pretty much clear. Very rarely a little yellow so I'm still not picking up the antibiotic the nurse prescribed. i really believe this is just a pain in the butt cold. Aside from my nose and lack of sleep i'm feeling almost normal....

  • I get the psudophedrine from behind the pharmacist. You have to show your drivers license but its stronger, same price and you dont need as much.

That and we love SinuRinse by Neilmed. Its like a netti pot but its a squeeze bottle

I thought it is not recommended to take a decongestant during pregnancy?

My handout from the OB's office says that it's okay after 14 weeks.  I'm glad you posted this OP - I have a cold that's totally kicking my ass (same issues with lack of breathing and therefore lack of sleeping ... grrr) - so I'm definitely filing this information away for a drug store run!
