Mobile Bumpers: Embarrassing Valentine's story
Once upon a time, I used to love to cook and bake and was known for randomly bringing food in the office. One of our IT guys had been super helpful to me and I'd told him I'd make him lasagna to thank him. And so I did and I brought it in the office.
I couldn't figure out what all the side eyes and whispers were about until someone spelled it out for me. Yeah of all the days in the year, I happened to pick Feb. 14 to bring him that lasagna. Oops.
Funny thing is there was one girl in the office who had a major crush on him, and she actually gave him a card that day and all. She later confessed to me she was p!ssed when she heard about the lasagna because she thought I was trying to steal him from her. I was mortified. Even moreso because I was already in a serious relationship with a great guy (DH)
Funny thing is that that same IT guy is the one who landed DH his current job. And he and the girl are getting married next Summer ![]()
Re: Embarrassing Valentine's story
LOL - Now THAT would have been epic. And more than probably would have cost em my job, too.
Do you ever cook and bake anymore?!
Sadly, no. Or at least, not just for funsies like I used to. I just can't find the time anymore.
Maybe when your kids are a little older? Liam and I almost always cook or bake something while Jack naps. It keeps him quiet and busy.
Hahaha! Lasagna seductress!
Maybe. Thing is, on week (work) days, we don't really have time to make an activity out of it, and then our weekends are usually pretty busy. Still, DD1 loves to "cook" so I usually find the time to make a batch of cookies or a loaf of banana bread with her maybe once a month. But those never leave the house
