DH and I have been struggling with household chores, so I suggested we spend 30 minutes every night to straighten the house, prep the next day's dinner, etc.
We've been at it for a little over a week (well, except for those few nights that DD2 was in the hospital) and wow what a difference those 30 minutes make! My house is noticeably cleaner, making dinner is much less stressful, AND I get to spend some quality time with the hubster (because there is no screen to distract us, so we actually talk to each other during those 30 minutes vs just vegging out on the sofa).
It's really like working out - kind of have to give myself a kick in the butt to get started every evening, but then when it's over, I'm just so glad I did it
That sounds genius! What a great idea! DH and I just had a big fight the other day over how nasty our house was and I told him I give up because I'm tired of doing it all and it lasting for 10 minutes. We may have to implement our own 30 minute challenge!
