Head control

in November 2012 Moms
LO has decent head control, but not as good as her sister did at this age 11.5w. She holds her up for a minute or two and then flops to the side. Is that normal? I know I shouldn't compare but I am a worrier :

    I wouldn't worry too much.  You can always ask your pedi at your next appt.  E's head control varies by his position.  Holding him on my shoulder he's been great since he was really little.  On his tummy is something he's just finally getting really good at.  He can sit on my lap and does a pretty good job as well now.  He's 13 weeks and he didn't start getting really good until after 11 weeks.

    I think it also depends on the body.. my 14 week old can almost situp on her own, loves to stand and has great head control.. but is dainty so her noggin isn't that big compared to her body... my friends baby has a large head and he is stillkinda wobbly.... they hung out today and we noticed this...my dainty baby hates tummy time and won't lift her head he is awesome at tummy time
