My house smells like brownies

I am exhausted but I can't go to sleep because my house smells like brownies. Made from scratch fudgey goodness. MH is prepping some of our Valentine's dinner for tomorrow and I requested brownie sundaes for dessert. Lord did I marry the right man!

Anyone else have a hubby cooking a fabulous meal tomorrow?

My DH is working late, and did yesterday too (16+ hours each day- it's been rough for him) so I'm going to make him a nice meal tomorrow. Maybe I can talk him into grilling the steaks though since I kind of suck at it.

We are postponing valentines day until after we move. SO doesn't let me do anything for him, but who knows what he has planned for me! I may make him dessert or something little this year despite his protests that the day be for me.

Besides the fact that DH works a wonky shift and I won't see him until Saturday, he is also sick. He has had several "man colds" I've given him crap for that its now back firing and now that I think it's Dr worthy he is trying to act tough. Fingers crossed that DD and I can avoid whatever it is he has!!

I'm pretty sure he got me a pandora charm for my bracelet which tbh I'm kinda bummed about...

My hubby works out of town now for 20 days a month so I will be solo tomorrow. Although I am babysitting my nephew so my sister and BIL can go out. Probably going to order myself a pizza!!

However, my hubby used to be a chef before he did a career change so he cooks every day he is home. I am one lucky lady marrying a chef and there isn't a day that goes by I don't take that for granted. Smile

Hey, I'm with an ex chef too! His dr told him to get out of the profession before it killed him or crippled him, so now he sells insurance...shrug, but hell I still get AMAZING meals, and I get to see him more often than when he was working in a kitchen, so I'm not complaining :

My DH made super secret dinner plans for us and he's all kinds of excited. To be honest I am really looking forward to it since he's been working late and we haven't had a date night in months. I made us a special dinner tonight of chicken Marsala, black rice, and corn his favorite. You are a lucky lady and I for one am great full to have such a wonderful caring husband.

We actually celebrated Valentines day last night since I have class tonight.
I decided to make hubby a special dinner of his favorites, including chocolate covered strawberries. I tried to make things fancy by busting our the champagne flutes and the sparkling grape juice, lol!

We are headed to OKC to watch the Thunder play the Heat tonight. I am excited because we are huge sports people, but now I want a brownie sundae....and I don't even like brownies. I think this baby is a lot like DH and loves Chocolate. It's so weird to crave something you normally don't like at all.
